Is TMS Right for Me?
Considering TMS Therapy? Take our 2-minute quiz to see if it might be the right fit.
What is TMS Therapy?
TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) is a non-invasive, FDA-cleared treatment that uses gentle magnetic pulses to stimulate targeted brain regions associated with depression, OCD, and other mental health symptoms. It’s especially helpful for individuals who have not found success with medications or therapy alone. Unlike medication, TMS doesn’t circulate through your body. Instead, it focuses stimulation precisely on areas of the brain responsible for mood regulation, without the systemic side effects.

Who is TMS For?
You may be a good candidate if:

You’ve tried at least two antidepressants without lasting improvement

You’re looking for a non-medication-based treatment

You’re ready to commit to a short-term treatment schedule (typically 5 sessions/week for 6 weeks)

You have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder (MDD), OCD, or another treatment-resistant condition

You’re seeking an evidence-based, side-effect-minimizing alternative to traditional options
TMS is FDA-approved for depression and OCD, and emerging research shows promising results for conditions like anxiety, PTSD, and smoking cessation.
What Can I Expect During Treatment?
- Duration: Each session lasts 20–30 minutes
- Comfort: You can relax, watch TV, or listen to music during treatment
- No Downtime: You can return to your day immediately after
- Schedule: Most patients complete treatment in 6–8 weeks
We also offer Accelerated TMS a newer protocol that condenses treatment into just 5 days. Ask us whether you're a candidate.
How Soon Will I See Results?
Many patients start noticing improvements in mood, sleep, and energy within 2–3 weeks. For others, benefits become more noticeable after 15–20 sessions.
Is It Safe?
Yes. TMS is a safe, non-invasive treatment with minimal side effects. The most common are mild scalp sensitivity or headaches, which typically fade quickly. Before starting, we’ll conduct a full medical evaluation to ensure TMS is appropriate for you.
