Ketamine Therapy
Ketamine For Depression in New Jersey
Depression is a mental health condition that is widely prevalent among both adolescents and adults. Symptoms range across different domains of life and at varying severity. For some, traditional therapies are appropriate, however, others do not respond adequately to psychotherapy or antidepressants. Ketamine, which is medically used as an anesthetic, can be applied in a psychiatric setting, via oral, intramuscular (IM), or intravenous (IV) routes to restore healthy neural activity. It can be revolutionary in managing mental health symptoms, especially treatment-resistant depression.

Why Choose Ketamine Treatment?
Ketamine is a powerful molecule that can have strong effects on the nervous system. While there are risks associated with ketamine, it also has the potential to have life-changing effects when administered in a safe, controlled environment at a dosage much lower than when it is used as an anesthetic agent. By targeting neurotransmitter systems, it is theorized that ketamine promotes neural plasticity and allows neural connections to restructure such that depressive symptoms can be alleviated.
Although it is yet to be FDA-approved as a mental health treatment, many studies have demonstrated positive outcomes. Individuals have reported rapid relief from depressive symptoms within hours to days, especially symptomology associated with suicidality. It is not uncommon for it to be conducted as an off-label treatment for depression, anxiety, or PTSD. A popular clinical group suited to ketamine therapy are those with treatment-resistant depression. The remarkable difference in depressive symptomology that can be obtained with ketamine can have the capacity to restore individuals’ daily functioning and quality of life.
How We Conduct Ketamine Treatment
Ketamine treatments are tailored to the client’s unique needs. A therapy plan can be designed accordingly and adjusted as the client’s response to ketamine is evaluated and monitored.
The drug, ketamine, is delivered through oral, IM, or IV infusions. The treatment session can last 1-2 hours, which includes a recovery period. During this period, clients are monitored carefully by our highly qualified health professionals to ensure their safety and the integrity of the procedure is maintained. In the case of side effects, our experienced medical staff are available to provide immediate care. Some side effects may include temporary dissociation, nausea, dizziness, mild hallucinations, or increased blood pressure and/or heart rate.
Clients can take the time to relax and get comfortable in our zero-gravity chairs. We also offer curated music created to have a calming effect using specific frequencies and rhythms, so you can leave your headphones at home!
How Much Does Ketamine Treatment Cost?
A course of ketamine treatment typically involves 6 sessions over a period of 2 to 3 weeks. Each session costs $650.
Ketamine is not often covered by insurance. Please check with your insurance provider. Our team can assist you with discussing flexible payment options.
